XQ stands for Extra Quiet and refers to Noratel's transformer and core technology. The transformer is built according to PLiXiR specifications and forms the basis of the balanced power supply.

Redesigned transformer and shielding

The BAC 1000 MK II uses a redesigned generation of the XQ True Balanced transformer. The construction has modified windings and shielding against electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.

The redesigns are aimed at quiet operation, less mechanical hum and refined power conditioning. Design goals and manufacturer claims are no guarantee of a specific audible result.

These values are selection guidelines. The audio output power of an amplifier is not the same as its rated mains power.

Check the power consumption of all connected devices and base the selection on the rated capacity of 700 W. The maximum power of 1000 W is not the value you can use as continuous load capacity without question.

Choose the BAC 1000 MK II when four connections are sufficient and the total load fits within its capacity. A larger model is relevant when you need more connections or more available capacity.

A larger model is not automatically audibly better. Base the choice on the complete system and the power consumption of the connected devices.
