PLiXiR The Fiery: balanced power cable, flexibly connected
A high-end power cable does not have to be cumbersome behind your audio cabinet. PLiXiR developed The Fiery Balanced Power Cable with two goals: low-noise power transmission and a flexible cable that is easy to position even in a compact setup.
The balanced construction and multi-layer shielding form the technical basis. The flexible design makes the cable practical when your source equipment or headphone setup is close to a wall or on a compact shelf.

Balanced technology as a starting point
The Fiery is part of PLiXiR's balanced AC cable family. The manufacturer describes the model as a balanced design, aimed at low-noise power delivery.
In its general cable concept, PLiXiR explains that the relative position of phase and neutral is important for maintaining common-mode noise suppression. With a suitable balanced power source, the design is intended to carry this approach through to the connected equipment.
The cable does not balance standard mains voltage itself. It does not replace a balanced power conditioner and does not convert voltage. Always check that the power source, cable, and equipment are electrically compatible.
Multi-layer shielding against external interference
PLiXiR describes The Fiery as having multi-layer shielding against external noise. This shielding is part of the design goal to provide the power connection to your hi-fi equipment with consideration for interference.
The exact shielding materials and conductor construction are not equated here to those of The Statement or Supreme. Specifications such as UPOCC copper or certain Furutech connectors are not part of The Fiery without model-specific confirmation.
The low-noise performance mentioned by PLiXiR are manufacturer claims. An audible improvement depends on your setup and is not guaranteed for every setup.
Flexible behind your audio cabinet
A cable must also be practical. According to PLiXiR, The Fiery is deliberately designed to be flexible for situations with limited space. This is convenient when working behind your source equipment and wanting to lay the power connection neatly.
Suitable cable length
Choose from 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, or 3.0 meters. Take into account the actual route, not just the straight distance between the two connections.
A place in your power chain
The Fiery can form the AC connection to suitable audio equipment. When used behind a balanced conditioner, such as a suitable Elite BAC, the cable connects to PLiXiR's balanced power concept.
With an external DC power supply, an AC cable belongs on the mains power side. Between the DC output and your streamer or DAC, a separate, suitable DC cable is required.
Before ordering, check the mains plug and IEC connection of the actually delivered version. The length choice on this page is not a separate choice for a connector type.
