Silver-plated UPOCC copper in a multi-solid-core construction

The original Statement DC cable used silver-plated OFC copper in a multi-strand construction. For the MK II, PLiXiR opts for high-purity silver-plated UPOCC copper in a multi-solid-core construction: multiple solid conductors instead of a bundle of fine wires.

UPOCC refers to a continuous casting process according to the Ohno principle. PLiXiR describes the copper used as long-crystalline and highly pure. In combination with the thicker conductors, this forms the basis of the updated cable construction.

According to the manufacturer, this construction, together with the other design adjustments, delivers lower impedance and greater current capacity than the original Statement DC cable. PLiXiR does not publish a specific current limit for the MK II on the product page.

More attention to shielding

The Statement DC Power Cable MK II receives not only thicker conductors, but also further refined shielding. PLiXiR adds an additional copper foil shield and increases the shielding coverage.

According to the manufacturer, this improves the suppression of high-frequency interference. The goal is a carefully shielded DC connection that matches a high-quality external power supply.

Teflon as insulation material

Teflon is used both in the cable construction and in the newly developed PLiXiR connectors. This means the design pays attention not only to the conductor material, but also to the insulation around it.

New PLiXiR connectors with fully copper contacts

A high-quality cable construction is only one part of the connection. The connectors also determine how the cable connects to the power supply and the device. Therefore, PLiXiR developed new GX16-4, DC 2.1, and DC 2.5 connectors for the Statement MK II.

Instead of standard brass contacts with plastic insulation, these PLiXiR connectors use fully copper contacts with gold plating. This helps prevent the gold plating from oxidizing. Teflon is used as a dielectric insulation material.

This makes the MK II a complete cable connection: not only with new conductors, but also with connectors that are matched to the design.

The Statement DC Power Cable MK II is offered with various connector combinations. Do not choose the cable solely based on the brand name or the appearance of the connection: the pin layout and polarity must also match.

A logical place in your power chain

The Statement DC Power Cable MK II connects the DC output of a suitable external power supply to the DC input of your audio component. It is not an AC mains cable, digital signal cable, or standalone power supply.

Are you using two devices on a Dual Output power supply? Then each device has its own DC connection. If you want to upgrade both connections, you need two separately matched cables.

Available in 1, 1.5, and 2 meters

The three available lengths give you room to place the power supply and equipment practically. Choose a length that properly bridges the distance without putting the cable or connectors under strain.
